This Korean War memorial is made out of black granite and was erected in 1991. The monument is 15-foot high and can be found in Battery Park. Twenty-two flags are set in the statue representing the allied countries involved in the war.
I took this photo while relaxing our tired feed in the stream coming down through the hillside on Ilkley Moor. As you can see, its very scenic, and only a short journey from my home. The weather was not great, but we had a good walk.
I took this photo of the sleepy bear in Taronga Zoo, Sydney. The zoo officially opened in 1916, and is located on the shores of Sydney Harbour in the suburb of Mosman. The zoo is home to over 2,600 animals on 21 hectares.
Ripley castle is much smaller than I expected it to be, but, it was fun to walk around. Make sure you take the tour to find out about the history of the castle. Walk around the gardens and deer park. Then relax at the tea room or explore the fantastic little village of Ripley.
